I loved all of them.

Judith Lorei '78 ...I learned to be "really steadfast in my beliefs"

Judith Lorei ’78 tells interviewer Jenn Bokoch Gillett, “I got to know the sisters a little bit more, got involved in the activities that they were doing, like volunteering at the soup kitchen or going to demonstrations. I remember doing a fast for world hunger a couple of years. And so it was really that, you know, the group of nuns, I mean, I loved all of them, all of our teachers. ...the sisters who were dedicated to doing that peace and justice work because it felt really brave to me to be kind of on the front lines. And speaking out at a time when it wasn't really always so popular. And I think they took a lot of flack for it, but yet they were really strong and stood up and said, well, this is what needs to be done.”
