Donna Heaps ’73 tells interviewer Jenn Bokoch Gillett, “When I went to high school, it was completely different. It was like these friendly nuns who obviously were very happy in their lives. And they didn't push it at you. They just lived it, and it was like osmosis. Eventually you were like, aha! and I know what they're doing. I mean, as women in the church, the sisters have very strong leadership. They are amazing women. They really are. I owe them a debt of gratitude....from the Benedictines, I felt strong enough to make my own decisions in faith.”
